We opened our April meeting by discussing amendments that were made to our current by-laws. David presented a copy of the updated version. A few changes made, if an event is going on at the race track we consider our field closed to any flying. Another one that has been in use for a while is to use a catch can while fueling. Certain safety precautions have also been added, after touchdown you can taxi to any of the 3 taxiways but you must kill your engine before entering the pit area,preferably at the west edge of the runway on the taxiway of your choice. A motion was made to send a copy in to AMA and was seconded. A copy was mailed on the 3rd of April.

Spring is hopefully on the way and members present agreed to begin flight training for interested modelers. The training sessions will begin on thursday April 18th at 6pm, and be held every thursday after,weather permitting. We agreed to have an article published in the paper to announce the training sessions. We also plan to have it broadcast on the KECO radio station.

We also set a date for our 13th annual fun fly Saturday September 14th. By popular vote we agreed to have our landing fee set at $10 this year to hopefully draw more pilots. We agreed to try something different to get our pilot count up, the last couple of years are numbers have been down.

Donnie continues to prepare and plan for our 1st annual heli meet,and has done a great job organizing this. Plans are in the works to build a sun shade with work tables in the near future which will be a plus in the hot summer months.

We adjourned around 8:30 until our next meeting which is scheduled for May 7th.
